CADD Competition Awards Dinner

Join us in our announcement and celebration of the winners of the CADD Competition, with guest speaker Cari Alcombright.

Cari Alcombright is principal of Studio Alcombright and an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Arizona School of Architecture. She is a registered architect with over 8 years of experience working across a variety of scales and project types. Most recently, Cari was a project manager at LA DALLMAN and oversaw their civic transformation projects. She also has worked at William Rawn Associates in Boston, MA and Waggonner & Ball in New Orleans, LA.

Cari earned her Master of Architecture with thesis distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis with magna cum laude honors. She was previously an Instructor at the Boston Architectural College and has been an invited guest critic at Harvard GSD, Boston Architectural College, and Tulane University.

Her line of research and interests are focused on the intersection of architecture and its environment. This line of expertise was largely informed by her graduate thesis titled "The Aqueous Imaginary" which looked at architecture in sensitive coastal sites prone to storm surge and flooding. Originally from Tucson, Cari moved back to Arizona this past summer and is excited to be closer to family and expand upon her environmental research in the Sonoran Desert.
